"I was interested in doing more for the company and was always looking for new ways to contribute. I knew this would require a lot of discipline and hard work, but I also knew it would be something very special that would change my life."--Zurich Associate
What is the Associate Program?
The Zurich Associate Program is a unique learning, mentoring and networking program that provides select individuals with an insurance education, experience in the way we do business and opportunities to build a career.
It’s part of our philosophy to assess high potential and develop talent from within our organization. You'll discover that it is a privilege to be selected for this unique program because today’s participants in the Associate Program represent the future of Zurich.
If you are selected for the program, you will be given the opportunity to build a long-standing insurance career--and a bright future--with Zurich, one of the
world’s leading property-casualty insurers.
And the possibilities don't end there. If you're interested in international opportunities, consider our Global Associate Program. If you like to travel and can fluently speak at least one foreign language, you may be just who we're looking for. Due to the size of our global business, your role could initially be based at any one of three international locations participating in the Global Program: Switzerland, Germany or the United Kingdom. As part of your application, mobility and flexibility on location are essential.

How is the Associate Program different from an internship?
While many internships are valuable and worthwhile, the Zurich Associate Program has a more structured and professional agenda. Associates participate in broad-based training sessions and work directly with experienced underwriters, risk engineers and claims professionals across the U.S. and Canada over the course of 11 months. Rigorous field preparation and comprehensive examinations are also included in the curriculum. Performance is continuously evaluated, and Associates advance only when each phase is successfully completed. In addition, Associates must be willing to relocate and be available to work in any one of our North American office locations. Participants in the Global Associate Program must be willing to relocate overseas, if necessary.

When are Associates selected for the program?
