HPR Services / Site Assessments

The property services HPR team focuses on reducing the frequency and severity of risks. The most effective – and often most economical – method is to eliminate the hazard from the process or building with a proactive analysis during the conceptual or design stages of the project. If the hazard cannot be eliminated, controls and protection may be necessary to reduce the risk to an acceptable level.

We offer property assessment in the following areas:

HPR assessments
An HPR assessment evaluates the adequacy and reliability of the physical protection of a building and its occupancy. The assessment includes a review of the management aspects such as emergency response, inspection and testing, maintenance of fire equipment and contingency planning. This evaluation also includes a review of your exposure to windstorm damage and flood, physical features for mitigation of damage and readiness to respond.

Builders Risk assessments
These evaluations are made for buildings or structures under construction. An assessment evaluates the site's exposure to physical loss and construction delay generally from fire, explosion, natural hazards and theft.

Site and Acquisition assessments
A site assessment evaluates the natural hazards, water supplies and public protection for a potential new building location. We can assess buildings that may be leased or purchased to determine what improvements may be needed before making purchasing commitments.

Loss analysis
A loss analysis investigates a specific incident to determine what action is needed to either prevent a recurrence or to reduce the severity of future events.
